Refused Records

In the year 2003 three young guys form the Upper Austrian town of Marchtrenk lined up to indulge into heavy music. Initially, Philipp Essl, Alexander Kleiß, and Flo Dobretsberger concentrated on Hardrock and Heavy Metal Covers until 2005, when guitarist Marc Gruber got part of the Mosfet Crew. These four now concentrated on their own songs and soon later in 2006 the debut EP “King of Damnation” was released.

This was the start of an ongoing rise in popularity and brought them up to the Metal Camp in Tolmin in 2008. The decision to bring in a fifth man, Patrick Schmuck on bass guitar allowed Philipp Essl to fully act as the front man of the band. Continuous work on new songs brought up the album “Sickness of Memory” in 2010, their firstrelease on Refused Records. Their second focus have been live events: In 2009 again at the Metal Camp and at the Prater Open-Air, at the Metalfest 2010, and as support band of well known acts like Heaven Shall Burn, Nearea, Hail!, Mastic Scum, … The style of the band is easily characterized: Dirty but fucking killing Thrash ‘n’ Roll!
